Gentle salt flakes, hand harvested  from the waters of the Murray-Darling basin in south-eastern Australia, smoked on reclaimed oakwood from wine barrels, then infused with Australian merlot for deep, oaky and tart notes. And its purple hue makes it visually stunning as a finishing salt. Oh my.   

Unlike processed table salt that's stripped of all its natural goodness by chemical processes, this pure salt is rich in naturally occurring nutrients and minerals.

Smoky aroma with delicate tart notes and a mellow merlot finish. 

 

Great with

Sprinkle onto grilled or roasted meats (it's fantastic on beef steak!), roast chicken, burgers, meatballs, roasted vegetables, roast lamb, pasta or salads. Oh, and try it with dark chocolate desserts, for a real indulgence. Apparently you can make mean chocolate pralines with this salt.
